Sheboygan, Wisconsin: You don’t know how much visual impact doors and windows have on the overall look of your home until you change them. In this case, the original windows and doors on the home were standard, aluminum frame models. If anything, they went unnoticed.

When Timber Innovations remodeled the basement of a Russell Barr Williamson designed home with the Prairie-style Kitchen and Family Room, they also built new patio doors out of Cyprus. The limestone in the surrounding wall brought out the beauty in the wood and the wood brought out the beauty in the textures of the stone. Visually, this section of the home looked stylish, polished and beautiful. The patio doors made such a visual impact that the homeowners decided to replace all the windows in the house.

From the interior of the home, the Cyprus doors were consistent with the wood in the nearby custom crafted shelving and cabinetry. They brought in more light and allowed for a fuller view of Lake Michigan.
